Greek Chicken Pasta

Greek Chicken Pasta

A Healthy Mediterranean Dish
This healthy and nutritious pasta salad makes a wonderfully complete and satisfying meal, high in antioxidants.

This pasta dish incorporates some of the flavours of Greece and the health benefits of a Mediterranean diet. Tomatoes, a key feature in the Mediterranean diet, contain powerful antioxidants. Fresh tomatoes also contain a substantial amount of water and vitamins.

Using wholemeal pasta in this dish will provide a great energy source in the form of complex carbohydrates. Complex carbohydrates have shown to be the most effective in maintaining fullness after eating, which may also help in weight control.

Tuscan Chicken

Traditional Peasant Casserole
This dish provides a deliciously appetising healthy boost to the system. The tomatoes, onions and garlic pack a powerful immune boosting punch.

This dish also comes with no salt. Excess salt in the diet is linked with hypertension (elevated blood pressure). Salt in the diet has more recently been associated with certain cancers such as cancer of the stomach.

Pork Stir Fry

Pork Stir Fry

Packs a lean protein punch
This simple dish provides a combination of quality proteins and complex carbohydrates in a great balanced meal.

Meat is a valuable food from a nutritional perspective, contributing to overall intake of protein, long chain fatty acids, vitamins and minerals. Provided lean cuts are selected, the pork need not contribute an excessive amount of fat or saturated fatty acids.

Top Tips
  • Cut out the processed foods
Fresh food cooked at home will always be higher in nutrients than a ready meal or pre-processed mashed potato!
  • Drink more water
You’ve heard it before, but remember you are more than 50% water and drying out isn’t good for you.
  • A little exercise
30 minutes of moderate exercise each day is all you really need – try changing a habit like walking instead of driving to work, you’ll feel the difference pretty quickly.
